Annoys me when folk tell you that the car they're selling is a failsafe investment, if it was, surely they'd be keeping it! For it to be a good investment, it would need a £600 service annually and as you say, very little driving and even those aspects considered, it's got a fair amount of appreciating to do. It would need tyres every 3 years or so, as they perish, so a rough spend of £1000 pa minimum. Keep it 35 years, will it be worth more than the £55000 invested with inflation taken into account? Wouldn't we all love a crystal ball
