That could be a bargain as it doesn't look like it's too badly damaged. Get it for £4-5K, repair it and keep it. Result.

Well I thought it looked OK until I see that it had a shunt up the chuff..........So just a rear end...Could be an easy fix...Maybe.

hmmmm could be bargain, but seller mentions the cheap parts on ebay so why does this salvage company fix it themselves, mights just be boot lid and bumper. but more likely boot floor, slight crease in rear wings, or just that both boomerangs are cracked. Saying all this i only live 4 ms from this so will try and take a look

If it was just a bumper and boot lid, it wouldn't be a cat D. It'll be at least a £5000 repair I reckon.

Already up to£4k with six days left to run.
Should we open a book on the final selling price?
I think this will go for a lot more than is sensible.

btw, wonder what speed you need to reverse at to make that much damage, I'm dubious about the explanation to be honest

i think 4.5k is top moey for this, its cat d so will never be worth more than 10k even when perfect. Always surprises me how much these salvage cars go for

agree with above...salvage company would repair that....def has problem with the floor pan, most rear exterior rear panels etc, could have creased the rear side panels/roof/rear axle as looks fairly hard shunt? What about any mechanical issues? exhausts, petrol tank,, suspension etc possibly....4k maybe...worth a go, 5-6k getting too near to buy one without all the damage and you wont sell a peviously written off one that easily...we're all too fussy!!

Just read the ad'...What a load of sh**e. No way would an insurance co pay out £16k for a 3200 with 60k on the clock.

Unlikely, unless covered under an agreed price classic insurance policy.
I will be certainly looking at such a policy for mine at the end of the year when it will be 10 years old and eligible.

Wow - that's a high price! £1500 more would get you Aldo's black one (on pistonheads). A few more miles but not an accident damaged write-off!
