maserati 3200 steering track rod

hi guys, i need a new steering track rod, i have found some as below, £120,

but im just wondering if anyone knows if this is crossed over to another car? it just seems alot of money for something which is normally a cheap part, i mean is it really that much more special than say an alfa one? lol

I asked myself this about the knock sensors @ £100 a pair ... They must be generic like the track rod end is likely too

what got me wondering is euro spares/maserati say its not available, only comes with the steering rack, but giallo have them available... surely they havent had them made up special, its not like theres any demand for them, they usually last the life of the car.

Maserati did a repair kit for the 4200 steering rack as the rose joint is prone to wear...sady the repair kit is no longer available so another money spinner for them.

Bosch knock sensors are generic in the actual sensor,it is the lengh on the lead and the connector that makes them manufacture/model specific,so if you dont mind doing a connector swap,mine is actually running Audi ones,as i have a supply of them,

got a brand new genuine maserati one for £33.... from eurospares....

no idea why everyone including maserati dealers and eurospares told me it was not available seperate to the steering rack!
