when I dropped the brake discs off for Davy last year he described Marci as "unreasonably shiny" .......so, thought I could try to aim to get one higher up the "shiny scale" this year ;)
I used poor boy cleaner applied by the Das6 to remove all the polish and wax from last year, touched up the stone chips, 2 coats of meg's polish applied by Das6 then to finish a top coat of Harley's wax. yes there are more modern products than Harley's that will last longer but I quite enjoy doing it old school. just the wheels to clean now then I can take her out to get dirty!

Your car always looks as great in photos as is does in the flesh Greg. How did you get on with the chipex kit ( I assume that's what you used)?

Great, How long did all that take?
btw I love the colour

About a day and a half from snow foam to finish so half a day less than last year.....a bit more confident with the duel action polisher now though having practiced on a couple of mates' and Fiona's car recently ;) tbh, best £100 or so I spent buying that machine, I really enjoy seeing the shine develop with each pass. The Verde Mexico green is dark enough to produce a good reflective shine after polishing but also has enough fleck through it to catch daylight really well in the flesh, although the metallic does not show so well in photos unfortunately.

Thanks trev, The chipex kit is expensive for what it is but Fiona got me it as part of Christmas. Works out ok , colour a good match but have found I prefer using poor boy light scratch remover with the duel action on slow speed to blend in, found their blending liquid quite strong even by hand so it was removing more paint than it left behind!

Really quite lovely, now what was the model of the polisher and the stuff you used?

Thanks.

Looks great. Very rare colour.

Thanks, no idea how rare Verde Mexico is since I can't get figures for 32s but guessing all 3 classically recognised sports car colours (red, yellow, green) are pretty rare in all the coupes.......just a guess mind ;)

Kestral DAS6. I used meguirs ultimate polish and Harley's 100% carnauba wax. To clean old polish/wax off I used poor boys light scratch remover cream.
