You know, crazy as it seems. I think responsible pet owners are the warmest and kindest people. A lesson I will be teaching our new daughter next year :)

I don't think it's crazy at all. I'm not sure that correlation equals causation though...

Our Ridgie Kumba and mix Collie/Weimaraner Pluto. We had Ridgebacks my whole life, I’m not so sure I’d go for another Collie mix, they have a lot of nervous energy compared to his couch potato brother. View attachment 108003
We’ve been thinking about a Collie pup but as you say they are constantly full of energy. Having a ball dropped at your feet at 11pm for a game of fetch is taking the pi55 in my book :).

They're well behaved but if they start acting up I will have to weigh them in at the local scrapyard.

Our older rescue dog is a Golden Doodle but she is very much a Standard Poodle with Golden Retriever fur in build and character. She had an accidental mating with a Border Collie - the mix of Collie and Poodle makes for quite an 'interesting' mix!

Here's Lionel (aged 7, fawn), and Willow (brindle, aged 10), and with a recent 50kg foster, Mr Big, now called Merlin and who lives on the south coast.
Lionel's lost a toe on each front paw and has recently been diagnosed with arthritis.
Greyhounds are the missing link between cats and dogs, and all the better for it.*

*Apart from the farts, as Willow is currently demonstrating as I work this evening.
Lovely dog and sideboard is really cool.

Lovely pooches!

New one for us, now 5 months old. Absolutely crackers but lovely!

Great dogs. They always remind Willow that she is, in fact a dog, not some kind of regal furry stomach with legs. The one and only time she swam was after she got inspired to chase 'water rabbits' was after playing with some Springers. After the swans showed their displeasure, that was it...
