Meridien say they match any 'indi' price for price on any work required to non current masers. Now there's an offer worth having.

Andrea's site is always worth a visit as some great deals to be had that are eary on the wallet compared to going direct....

I was thinking they seemed a little steep for the 3200. I know mine will certainly be going to see Mike at the end if this month.

All of them extortionate compared to Mike Roberts.

Its not all about 'Mike Roberts' and his cheap prices. The whole point is that some owners would rather go to other garages, be that Main or a larger Specialist - ie they may know or have been recommended to, and if they are listed on the site, and owners can take advantage of a savings, then everyone's a winner.

We have customers who'd prefer a Main Dealer and for that reason its good to have a price/savings. If everyone took your lead and went to Mike Roberts, I'm guessing you'll be waiting for a service in 12 months time.

As for the older cars. I would suggest that you use the 'Enquiry Form' and have the Dealer confirm the price, you might find they are in the process of updating their prices and you've caught them on a good day.

It can seem that way, especially when cars over 5 or 10 years of age when due a service aren't priced accordingly, if they can then match price under duress it does MDs no favours

You just have to make sure you are buying the right service given the confusion with the QP/GranTurismo with the 12.5k service or 2 year service and then 25k or 4 year service etc etc. Depends on your miles.

For the GranTurismo the main dealer mileage services do not look that cheap but the 2 year one is good value and the 4 year one is amazing value - £1610 at Graypaul incl the cans/sensors. Worth a look.

The site didn't work for me anyway. I put in the 67.5k service and no prices quoted. Assuming it can't work out the dreaded camchain price:D

Mike knows his stuff and charges very reasonable rates. If you have a newer car like a GT or QP then it makes sense to go MD if you want to maintain the stamps but Mike knows the older cars much better than most specialists and MD's so I will always take my car to him. He's done loads of work on mine and I'm very happy with him.

I clicked on this website this morning and it came up with a price of £972-£1080 for 50,000 mile service on Quattroporte but I had to put in name email and phone to reveal the dealer. I did that and someone from Meridian phoned me in 2 minutes and told me the price would be £2499. Isn't that just a tadge misleading?
Service guy Darren did say they could just do a "1 year service" for about £1000.
It's all a bit confusing, can anyone throw any light on what you get for your money as this is a big difference.
Whilst posting this I did enquire after a price on 81.000 mile service on my 4200, came out at £950 which I didn't think was too bad.
Does anyone have any advice please.

I just got a great deal from Vince @Graypaul in Solihull, he quoted £300 for an annual on my QPV. It has only done 5k since its service last year so I told him no pollen filters & that I bled the brakes when I bought it as I managed to heat the brakes up one night!

I get to use the new QP VI as a courtesy car too!

Not sure about quality & depth of service if main dealer quote such low prices. Think about their overheads? Loss leader?

Must be making a saving somewhere?

When they price match, how do you know they've given it their full attention?
