Madrid apartment help for a young woman

Does anyone have any contacts in Madrid (or knowledge themselves) for helping a friend of my daughter to sort out an apartment in Madrid?

She's just started working there, and having a really grim time with estate agents, costing her a fortune - paying fees and never actually getting to sign a contract. The place she's in now is appalling, so she needs to move asap.

Grateful for any assistance the mighty SM massive can bring to bear - sadly I have no contacts in Spain at all.
