Since the new arrival in the family the garage had turned into a baby stuff dumping ground! So decided to have a clear out and rearrange which meant getting the 500 out.. as I don't like leaving cars in garages and not using them I then decided to do the weekly Tesco shop with it. Funny looking at peoples faces as your stuffing a weeks grocery shopping on the back seat, front seat and boot of the 500! Also was the first time I had properly had the two Italian motors sat next to each other on the driveway so seemed a shame not to grab a photo...

Nice! Both of them!

I'm still amazed you can get 4 people in a 500!

Considering the speed it transverses hill with 2 people and a dog in it... yes you may get 4 people in one, but I doubt if it would move under it's own steam! :)

Seeing that 500 brings back bad memories

A few years ago on another forum a member posted a for sale ad on behalf of a neighbour, she was losing a rented garage after giving up driving so needed to get the car out ASAP

A good early 500 that had been on the road 2 years previously and parked up due to illness

The price, free to the first to post, I missed it by 10 minutes

Quite jelous, always wanted an classic 500.

I do think I lucked out.. managed to get this one "cheap" just before prices started rising. It really needs a respray and the interior replacing to match the exterior colour.. the interior is ok.. just a mismatch of colours.. but at the end of the day it was a solid driving 500 which passed it's MOT with no advisories so I can live with the appearance for the moment!

I love the look of them abroad, distressed and faded! You wouldn't get away with that here, my old one was immaculate, worth a few bob now, 1963 500D Suicide doors and RHD. Last I heard of it it was down in Brighton.

That would be worth a pretty penny. Garage near me had an early 500D suicide in recently and wanted about £9k for it and it was pretty much immaculate. If I had the money I would have grabbed it there and then. Somebody has got a really good deal there.

Ooh you are a bad man mark, get thee behind me satan! Lol
If I knew the job was more secure I may have taken you up on the offer, but things are pretty dire up here at the moment

Paolo is getting into everything these days ;)

Mrs Z would love a real 500, might be one of those special birthday presents in the future as I have first dibs on one that a friend owns

Great cars!

My other half has a thing about the original 500 and I'll be happy to oblige.

Have my eye on a RHD suicide door car and if we get it, it'll be his - I simply don't fit.
