Looking for Trim Clips

Hi everyone

I need some new trim clips (I don't know what they are called - if I did I'd probably find them online easier!). The black "buttons" with the serrated shaft used to hold the trim panels in place. I removed the panel in the passenger footwell to change the pollen filter. There was only one clip in use (should be three) and that has been removed so many times it no longer works. I bought some from a local store but they were too small or too big.

Can anyone tell me what they are officially called and where I can get some?

Thx - I have a box of various trim clips already but non of them fit. So I thought I'd ask if someone can point me to the correct clips to avoid me getting a warehouse of clips that I'll never use. I'll hunt through AlExpress and see if I can find something

I got the ones I have (somewhere) from Ross at Meridian. I could have paid £1.80 each for the Maserati ones. Or 20p each for the Ferrari ones with the same part number.

I bought the Ferrari ones funnily enough. How many do you need?

I need 5 in total (both footwells) but would like 10 so that I have some spares. I'd gladly buy any spares off you and pay the postage.

I'll have a look to see how many I have left (if I can find them), from memory there must be 4 or 5.

Let me check when I get in tonight.

I did a quick search, and it is called a Fastener Button, and depending on excatly which bit of trim or carpet it is, you are probably going to want 68808600 or maybe 67640300 or 67020900

Or maybe one of these:
62797500
80175700
81695800
81695900

Seems ridiculous that there are so many different ones, and yes, indeed, the Ferrari ones are cheaper.

"Fastener Button" - so that's what the effing thing is called. I spent so long looking for this with no luck. Thanks very much. I'll go and have a look.

eBay will have some
Yep - eBay has millions of different types of clips - the issue is that every clip I've tried to purchase so far doesn't fit - either to fat or too thin. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy a few of each clip from EuroSpares and see which is which. I'll write up my findings so that it's easier for anyone else in this situation.

In theory, you can see from the diagrams which ones you need, but they are terrible diagrams.

OK - as everyone says, the diagrams are hard to understand and the and there appear to be so many different types of button to choose from. I'm going to take a punt and order parts 18 and 20 (there are two part numbers for each!) but a) the images in Eurospares don't look like the button I removed (who knows what was used in the past - probably borrowed from somewhere else in the car!) and b) the location of the button in the image doesn't match the actual locations in the footwell! I see it as a kind of initiation ceremony for purchasing a Granturismo - I must learn the way of understanding the diagrams...

I'll let you know how I get on.

That's the point - I have a huge box of various sizes and none of them fit in the footwell. I'm sure they will fit elsewhere just not the footwell. So I'm reluctant to buy another big box of trim clips and find myself in the same position.

Had a quick look this morning but couldn't find the clips. Although I've just thought where they might be (not where I looked obviously).

I'd give Ross at Meridien a call first and check which clips you need. Mention SM and you'll also get a discount.

Sorry for the delay in closing the loop on this post. I ordered clips and our lovely postal service took forever to deliver them. But I can confirm part 14591987 is the correct clip to hold the insulation in place on the bottom of the dash units on a GTS - three in the passenger footwell and two in the driver's.

Eurospares have them but not the cheapest and I also didn't want to spent £9 postage when the clips were less than £6 in total. So, in the end I ordered them from ferrariparts.co.uk - same part number, cheaper than Eurospares and sent same day with Royal Mail. £4.82 inc. VAT and postage for 6 clips. My foot wells now looks ship shape and Bristol fashion. Contact details if needed:

Must get some of these for the A post and door surround
Great thread so many clips and nothing fits? It’s like every manufacturer has their own clip factory
