Apologies everyone - Mike Roberts at Maserati Shed advises me that the alternative back boxes aren't noticeably quieter than the Larinis, so it now looks like I'll have to keep them until I can find a quieter option. Sorry again for raising any false hopes

Good try!, he could swap them with my stainless boxes which ARE quieter than the larini's.....
