Hope it's not an eBay scam like others we have read about recently.
If of interest to anyone be cautious is my advice.

They've moved back onto my radar as a work horse as they're now less than similar age Merc E Class's.
I can confirm they are good as workhorses. Mine is now on 105k miles. Once you move the servicing out of the dealer network they aren't too bad servicing wise either..

Most modern diesels if serviced correctly with the right oils can go for many miles.
My own 3.0 V6 diesel XF is on a 155,000 and feels spot on.
My biggest costs are the engine oil and I renewed the A/C compressor last year with a genuine one for £240.

My Jag only uses fuel. Although it is only on 98,500. Does need a service though.

My guess with the diesel maserati is it's had petrol in it , they emptied it and it either didn't run again , or it ran for a bit then stopped.

Steve had a sprinter van in a few years back , he got a mile or so before it stopped, AA emptied it , filled it with diesel all looked good , a few days later he was on the motorway doing 70 when the injector pump exploded , Cambelt snapped , con rods through the block , it was a right mess.
