Well done hanging on to it..!!

After all the years restoring her, wasn't going to let her go easily.
When we bought our first house 17 years ago, like most a deposit was needed.
Had to sell the Alfa 33P4, and make do with a £400 Fiat Panda from the car auctions, but still had the Stag.
People who didn't really know me would see me in the Stag on a nice summer day, and question why I was driving around most of the time in the Panda!
Took a few years to recover from the initial house purchase, and move on from the Panda, but if I had sold the Stag, that would have been it, a big regret.

My first car, registered one week before I was born...GAL88D
MG Midget Mk 2 upgraded to 1275 engine, lots of spare parts gleaned from the scrap yard in Wimbledon in the early 80s.
Brings back very fond memories, so easy to work on.

That brings back memories. Twin One and a half inch SUs right over the exhaust manifold, perfect! Is that an alternator upgrade or was it standard that year?

Standard after 1971, and they are 1 1/4'' S.U.'s
