Jet wash recommendations

The new ones are all plastic, they get left over winter in a shed, if it freezes with water in that's it knackered

If you want one to last a lifetime buy a Kranzle but if you only use it occasionally buy a cheap one then replace it when it breaks

Agree.
Always pump the water out ,
don't use hozelock aquastop connectors ,
don't run it on a massive extension lead (although that might be tricky)
And accept that most low to mid range PW have a max life <100 hours.

Mine is static in the garage, 20m wall mounted reel. I also use a larger orifice tip so likely pushing 1000 psi rather than 1600+ , less stress on the machine etc.

I had pulsing when I got my latest Karcher. Turned out that we needed to replace the connection from the main in the street to our house which was causing low pressure!
Replaced that (at a cost of many ££££'s) and all was good.
That sounds expensive, might've been cheaper to get a firm in for jet washing and valeting, so you could watch with a pint on the go:D

I have a Nilfisk too, my detailer swears by them; mine’s excellent and obviously gets used 4-5 times every week. Kranzle also good but they’re dear.

Well having tried a replacement lance, my K4 is still
down on pressure for no obvious reason.

So this afternoon I have ordered K7 180bar direct from Karcher with 5 year warranty.

Should make winter cleaning a little easer and in the spring the extra power should make short work of the the patio.

Been meaning to say: Whoever recommended 'Wet and Forget' It's good stuff. Ta

We use a Karcher K4 or 5 and it gets hammered every day. Nothing lasts for ever but they last us 3 years on average so we will continue with them.
