why would anyone who's not short of a bob or two buy one with 120k miles when you could get one with circa 40k miles for £3k more? unless of course you actually want it to break down so it makes a better story.
I did sort of think that, although mileage and condition are two seperate things.

Plenty of unloved low mileage cars about.

What it presumably does mean is that it might be harder to sell on when you want to part with it.

I knew he had a 550 Maranello, but having a Scuderia and F12 I'd forgotten about.

Never been in a GS , are the rear seats as practical as he says?
Pretty good, especially with the fact the seats motor automatically forward. It's quite impressive how much space there is for this type of car.

What I haven't experienced is whether the car scrapes it's **** on the ground when 4 up with 4 adults:)

After having seen his (and presumably everybody else's :) ) YouTube reviews of GS' and 4200s, I can't help but be somewhat surprised he got one in the end - he always concluded something along the lines of 'brilliant but that gearbox...'.
Regardless, seems like a really good one and a little bit of attention for this 'hidden treasure' won't do any harm, especially as JayEmm seems honest and candid and not necessarily out for the click bait kind of stories.
Also, it's good to see somebody carries on Eddie Jordan's legacy of loud shirts

Simply because he had it on recommendation that it's 'a good one'. That alone from those in the know is worth not bothering with a warranty. I'm sure that if he'd gone for the other one he would have concerns about it's health. It's all about peace of mind.

It would be interesting to see how he gets on with it following his Scottish trip.

Same space as a 3200/4200/MCV. A lot more practical than a 911...

As for that shirt, it would be nice if it fitted him. He says it's from Gant but I would say Millet's...

Took my 3200 AC to the highlands, had a lovely time until on the way back she went into limp mode for not the first or last time.

Touching wood have a bit more faith in the GS.

Some interesting roads there; before getting carries away I always try to remember that you can't turn into a corner if your wheels are almost in the air over a crest!!!

That car is well known to me and plenty of others on here, it is in far better condition than many with half the mileage, of course Jay didn't know that, or did he! If I didn't already have one I would have had absolutely no qualms about buying that one, and would have snapped it up years ago

Yes, XK is really cramped inside and not half as nice.
It's a bloody big car on the outside and far more cramped in. The rear suits are useless, good only for bags. It's far more of a GT-car where the GS always appears much more of a sports car.

Mine's done over that mileage and it doesn't break down. It's also been on 3 Sports Maserati European tours where newer lower mileage cars failed to make it around. :)

The only problems were an ABS pump fault on the first tour and the aircon stopped working on the last one.

Yes, very cramped in the front, let alone the back….

I do like the way the GS sort of covers off sporty GT car, focussed enough to drive in a committed way yet docile enough to do a tour.
It highlights relativity. Whilst I could drive the GS all day, I would be pretty weary if it was on a motorway compared to my CL500. My good friend with a Morgan would probably find the GS whisper quiet! Out of Sport the ride on the GS is excellent but the low gearing and wind noise prevent it from being a true GT. But if it was, it probably wouldn't be such a good sports car!
Thinking about it, I could have cruise control fitted and wear the brilliant AirPods pros that eliminate noise very well. Problem solved. I will start planning my trip to visit my eldest son in Catalunya in September!

Yes exactly. I like the Jag for long journeys a lot more that’s for sure!

When I drive to spa I did miss having cruise control, would be nice to retro fit :)

Totally right with this. We took the 4200 to Modena and while it was an awesome trip (thanks to @conaero et al for a once in a lifetime experience), it was hardly relaxing. Especially when we had to do some long days on the way home.
The GT I remember ducking out of a party in Nottingham and dropping the hammer down the M1 on a late night run for home and arriving pretty much in the same state I left.
The Ghibli I can hit the road at 0545, be in Leeds for 0915 and host an all day offsite. That I wouldn't like to try in the 4200.....
