My Stradale has finally reached Status 93. From what I can gather, this means it's been through final inspection and is being "bagged" up ready for the transporter. Hope to have confirmation on Monday that it is on the way and should hit Graypaul on Thursday. Paintsheild man is booked for Friday to put on the clear coat. With a bit of luck I'll be a Maserati owner again a week on Monday.

PS: The 458 GP loaned me for my birthday was awesome, but I wouldn't swap my Strad for one.

Very exciting times - my birthday is in January so I assume you will be lending me your Strad for a fellow East Midlander?!

That's come around quick. Took mine out for a quick blast to do some Christmas shopping today as not used for a week. Made me grin a lot! :) Just rolled onto 700 miles on the clock.

Car now on a transporter from Modena, due at GP on Thursday. Paintshield all geared up to wrap the front on Friday then PDI, polishing and hopefully delivered to the house on Monday. Have insured the car from Monday but it won;t be registered until 1st January after all. Decided for the sake of a week or so it was worth hanging on. At least I can sit in it and "play" even if it is in the garage. As soon as I hear Big Ben start it's chimes on hogmany, I'll be off up the road, the drinking can wait!

Good decision, it's worth at least £2k if you sell the car in the first decade.

What surprised me is how cottage industry the delivery is. Mine came all the way from Italy on a small transporter with only one other car - nearly personal service.

Enjoy spending Christmas day in the garage!

I'll likely be the only sober Scotsman on the planet as the clocks strike midnight on the 31st, but it's worth it.
