One Guy I would seriously like to meet and chat with is Iain Tyrell.

I did meet him once many years ago (maybe 20) when he was manning a stand for Cheshire Classic Cars. Can’t remember what I was ogling (think it was a Dino) and came up for a chat. He was very pleasant and not a pushy salesman. We got onto the subject of Maseratis and when he learnt I had a Ghibli SS he said “ooh nice, you should hang on to that.”

A couple of years I had a contrasting experience with the owner of the smokey green Miura at a hill climb. When I congratulated her on her beautiful car, she asked what I drive. When I told her, she said, “we had one of those, it was ****.”

Charming.
