Te classic grille is rare as rocking horse ****. I know because I have been trying to source one as mine has a small amount of damage.

Lozzer who repaired yours? I can't find anyone who will touch it around here and the chromers i have spoke with are asking for a lot more than you have paid

The facelift grille is cheaper/lower quality hence why it has a cheaper list price even if they still made the classico one.

Hi, i straightened the grille out myself , thread,
http://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/3200-grille.24801/
This place quoted cheapest by a country mile for the rechroming http://www.chromefix.co.uk/index.php , by all accounts they had a bit of trouble getting the trident to an acceptable standard, something to do with the base material being cast. They did a good job though.
Any pictures of the damage? i cant believe its that bad that no one will touch it. Unless you told them it was for a Maserati, i could believe that :)
This was mine. Looked like it had been ran into a ball hitch, or a big rock lol

Good job there Lozzer.

I have recently found a small chrome works just around the corner from me, had some FS1-E parts done last week and given the crummy Japanese tin-work it was on, some nickle & some chrome it came out very well.

It looks like someone tried (successfully or not) to remove the grille with a pair of vice grips at one end leaving a small dent on the outer lip and curled the metal inwards

I'm not very good at "metal work" but am tempted to get a hammer to it

That looks an easy fix, although DO NOT use a hammer on it lol, where are you? If you were close enough I could do it for you. If you can pm me an email addy I can pass on the correspondence I had with the chromers, they did say they can fix minor damage.

Hahaha I did say I'm not very good at metal work! I'll leave the hammer where it is and drop you a PM

Lol, no worries, like anything else, while it was being sorted, I replaced all the rivnuts and fixings with stainless ones and powder coated the mesh satin black, the only thing I didn't replace were the pins along the bottom.

Got to agree with Loz, doesn’t look to bad, should be quite an easy fix followed by a bit of chroming..

Forgotten I had these pics , if your grille is damaged all is not lost, this one was twisted, quite badly flattened on the lower half and had a nasty crease to boot. The upper part having minor damage where the trident had been pushed up into it. I got there in the end though, trying it on my own car before handing it back to its owner for re-chroming (he thought it was scrap). A good deed done.
Some pics of my best "Father Teds School of Dent Removal" impression ;)
