Is this the most overpriced Maserati part ever?

I'm sure there will be some stiff competition for this title, but I think I may have discovered the most overpriced replacement part for the 3200 yet!

On replacing the front discs I noticed the flexible ducting that directs cool air onto the discs was damaged. For anyone who doesn't know the part I mean, its listed on the parts diagram as simply 'sleeve' (on the front bumper diagram naturally!) and is simply a bit of wire reinforced flexible rubber ducting about 8 inches long. The price........£99 from Eurospares!

I currently have my 4 year old fashioning a replacement out of toilet rolls and coat hangers and will be selling them for a discount to forum members! I'm gonna be rich!!!!

I seriously wouldnt expect to pay more than a fiver for the pair of these. Has anyone come across this before?

Anyone got any better 'deals'?!

There are some shockers out there. The best one I have come across is when doing my handbrake, there is a piece of tin wear about the size of a match box that the handbrake levers off. Mine had snapped, I considered just throwing it away, but being brakes you have to take these things seriously. I phoned up Meridian and they had one.....40 or your English pounds sir, WTF! He was embarrassed and did comment on the ridiculous price of such a cheap piece of bent tin.

No..............NO................NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Conaero.................

The little bent piece of Heinz beans tin that needed replaced when doing up my handbrake where it sorta retains the backplate onto the hub ( 190814 - £40.08 inc vat each) was also £40 incl EURO VAT.......horrific....may even be the same part.......?!

Saying that , one of the best prices ive been quoted , mega reasonable is £38 for a passenger door glass , £27.99 for a pair no less of steering rack Gaiters , so you see , its not all doom and gloom

Loz,

Are you sure that wasn't for a door glass on a corgi model!? It's never doom and gloom..... just an adventure in new ways to spend the kids inheritance!

Surely this has to go to the cat section at £2,33K before VAT and that's each!. And are they a cr@p design known to fail? - yes... and do they come with a lifetime warranty like they should? - No.
