Agreed up to a point Andy and it is undoubtedly a lot of car for the money, but still I think you'd have to be either very brave to take a punt or be very knowledgeable to mitigate the risks on it. It will be interesting to see whether it goes to a forum member.

Agree Phil..Its a hard one...Would need some piece of mind from a specialist you trust.....Suppose the one thing we see is 78k....But in fact by todays standards this is not high miles...OK still seen as high on a Maserati but the car should take it if looked after and services well......We see 3200's with 100k on the clock these days and according the Robert Aerospace he sees loads and can be more reliable than a low miles car.........

Remeber the blue car that had this sort of miles a year or so ago and we all had the it took a same conversation about it...SOmeone on here took the plunge and it turned out to be a good un.........As you say would be good to see someone from here take the plunge and see how they get on....

Hi mileage cars don't generally bother me; I ran my Scimitar up to nearly 300k miles, my Volvo 850 to well over 200k, and my current commuter car has 174k. Although modern cars are so much more reliable and rust less, the costs for a high mileage Mas could soon rack up just for things like suspension rebuilds let alone engine or gearbox work. If the GS has a decent level of integrity it could be a bargain, if not it could be a money pit that you'd find hard to sell on.

Depends on what you want with the car...If its a keeper and you aren't worried about resale then its a baragain if all pans out.............If you pay 30k for a GS now or 15k in 3 years you would loose more on the 30k car than the 15k one I would say......This car is for someone who has always wanted a GS but can not stump up the money for a low miles ones.......but as all has said an indi chech would need to be done first and lots of research....

My sentiments exactly Andy , one could buy this car run it for 2 years , put 20Kplus miles on it and it would still be worth around £11K or there abouts now £4K depreciation with running costs cant be bad for any high end car you wont get that with a new Merc BMW or Audi

Apparantly this car is only 2 miles from me...so I may take a look at it on Wednesday if my flights get me home on time.

Will let you know what I think

Good to see familiar names on here :)
Been a bit out the loop car wise, Unfortunately change of Circumstances required a car that was easier on the gas! Have been running a nearly new diesel TT roadster for a year and a half now! As you can imagine its a Bit of a change to my old GS!!!! Still miss the the noise (& lots of things!) not missing the economy! But that's not what masers are about! Although I do enjoy near 50mpg at the mo :D

Seemed to Have started looking at cars again! ;) (looking at csl's & 996TT's too!)
