Hi,

I was wondering if there's a guide on how to remove the front bumper - I cannot find it if there is.

Thanks

It's a b!tch of a job. I did it last week to get at the air con radiator. The headlights are the biggest PITA; to get the bolts out you need hands like a pixies gyneacologist. When you think you have removed all the fasteners (including the two each side on the top joint between the headlight and the bonnet) don't use too much force removing the bumper as you may have missed one or two. Your thesaurus of swear words is likely to thicken. Good luck!

Thanks Benny - notsue I'll tackle it myself. The pipe for the headlight washer has detached or has a split.

Did an inventory of the paintwork today
- 13 stone chips, two very deep/large ones on the bonnet
- front & back bumper paint cracked where they flexed on parking and smacking both of them (different occasions)
- rear bumper scratched down to black plastic on the corner
- drivers door dinged, but just a scuff of the paint
- front wheel arch has a trolley dent
- superficial scratch on the wing
- areas in front of the rear wheels are spotted with something, looks milky white - may have been there since I bought it.

So quite a bit of re-painting & de-dinging to do if I want it perfect. May need to wait for next year now though.

The spray of stones at bruntingthorpe didn't help...a lot of people were flying down the side of the runways which was not very clean and spreading dust & stones across. At 140+, this hail would leave most cars with a few bits of paint missing. I distinctly remember the clanging sound on some of the runs. Plus I think I had similar in the alps and (of all places) Switzerland. Three chips in the screen as well. Will get those sorted first.

The reason behind my need to remove the front bumper is that the pipe connecting to the headlight washer has either dislodged, or, has a split. Not sure if I can sort it out without having to remove the bumper.

I've asked Newton if he's have any thought after his dismantling the front end.

Benny might be able to give me his thoughts as well.

If anyone can find the schematic showing the various clips on Eurospares that would be great. I'm having a look but can't see it.

I've just been down to look at mine and photo the connectors Ross.

THey are not going to be too easy to get to in place and you may end up taking the headlights out to make it easier to see the problem but here you go...

Just to follow up on this. I chickened out and got Maranello to fix this.

It was only dislodged pipe. A simple case of them plugging it back in. Done without need to remove the bumper.
