Is anyone running a GTS (or even a Stradale) as a daily?

Hi, I ran my QP GTS as a 'daily' - but living in London, that meant 3.5 - maybe 5k per year? A few thoughts:
  • it depends what you mean by "tip top": I would define it as doing whatever needs doing, when it needs doing, plus preventative. Others will feel differently
  • they are expensive cars to run - I would say I averaged about £3-4k year over the course of my ownership. Some years more (like 2019 which was £7k+) some less. My car wasn't a basket case or project, things break and/or wear out beyond the normal course of servicing and consumables
  • a 10/11 year old car (2010/11) is going to be a different running experience vs the 4 year old example mentioned above. if not on mileage, then things will be going on age.
The QP was the most reliable car I've ever had, and not the most expensive to run. The "catch" is that the cost of entry is not reflective of the level of running costs which are £100k level.

Again QP 4.2 (2007 auto), not GTS and a fun car that I somehow manage to do 5K miles going mostly nowhere in particular. I've averaged ~5K miles / year for the last 7 years and average cost per year including cosmetics (front end respray, wheel refurb) is around £4.4K per year.

This is doing whatever needs doing at respected Indies (Emblem/SportsItalia) and not including petrol, tax and insurance.

QP DS 2006, used it since I bought it as a daily. It had 98k on it then, now 122k, over three and bit years. Had a few issues at first as it was previously a garage queen under the ownership if the previous owner, hardly used, and had to get a few things sorted all under warranty. Original owner, top man at Three Ireland, used it as a daily, Waterford-Dublin commute. He told he wishes he'd never sold it.

Anyway, oil changes every 5k, filters every 10k, all I've needed so far is a handbrake cable, rear disks and pads, and two batteries. Set of tyres too, definitely benefits from being used. Serviced at local garage, car's not worth MD attention at these miles, still drives and runs very tightly, only thing noticeable is grubby drivers seat - it's not flattened to torn despite my fat ar$e, just dirty.

Oh, spent some dosh on tarty bits like red tridents (still in box!), Loudlink, that's it I think.
