Call me a neanderthal Northern monkey but I prefer Android. I had an Apple for work and found it completely unintuitive, why do you have to go through lots of menus just to put call forwarding on.

I’m the same with Android. Can’t figure it out. No idea at all. iPhone is easy for me. Just irks me that they’re all a grand. A fecking grand, FFS,

Cant stand or operate an android.
Hate samsungs generally from their tvs to their fridges.
iPhone is still the one to buy as i love the menu system and features
I have my 5 year old 6s still going strong and wont upgrade until it gives up on me

Fridges, I open them, a light comes on, I grab a bottle, I close the door, I think the light goes out. I drink the cold beer. Do we need any more tech?

Exactly!!
Do we need any more tech? No!
Why is it that samsung have fridges and washing machines that are literally all singing and dancing?!
Make funny sounds with lights etc

I've had the iPhone 5SE for a few years years now, its basically the improved 6S internals but in the smaller case and works just great for me and love the size, I'm no david bailey but picture quality seems alright to me, cant stand those large screen phones, has anyone still got the very first original Motorola handbag phone and the brick phone

My Brother-in-law still has his Nokia 3310 on a PAYG SIM, pretty sure it wasn’t new to him too.

Ooh great codes... Now Where's that in the manual? Anyway I do, saves having to carry two phones when I'm on shift.

Sorry, just realised that's been formatted badly

* 21 * number #

Remove the spaces. That's all calls.

* 21 * should turn it off again, but a quick Google will do you right

More Tech is not the answer and it is everywhere.
Door Bells
Central Heating adjustment
Smart Meters
On line Banking
I could go on, so I will why can we not talk to someone when we have a query but no more choices on the robot answer machine
oops turning into a rant thread.
I will stop

I'm quite into tech:

Door bells: Commented on these before. Solution looking for a problem unless you want to tell people you're out.
Smart meters: Save money for the utility companies. Don't save energy other increasing awareness of energy usage in real time.
On line banking: Great when it works (nearly all the time) and saves money for the bank
Robot answer machines: Hideous but save money. For the company.

So the answer in fact is: Don't buy stuff because it's cheap and then be suprised that there are no humans involved any more. Humans are expensive.

Well, almost. Yes Humans are generally not cheap but the point is the Tech is everywhere as I have quoted a few examples and there is no choice and when the tech goes awry the answer seems to be apply more tech which does not solve the original problem and in fact makes solving the problem harder

Because everything is competed on price. 80/20. You can provide service to 80% of the customer base.

For example people complain bitterly about Virgin media's service around here. OTOH, as geeky as I am, I've had about 3 issues in 8 years.
So from my point of view, it's good value. For those with issues it's terrible. But first thing they talk about when looking for an alternative is how much is it.

With few exceptions (Hiscox, anyone?) this is the same across many industries, and it's built into the modelling

I've had I-phones! (not sure why they call still use the phone tag) & pads for free for about 10 years now and I still hate every apple device with a passion. I need a work tool and it fails on every single level compared to android.

Odd, I'm the opposite, Apple works A1 for me - get Android at work and it's uber-shite, so much so I refuse to use it - ring on my iPhone....

This could end the same way as the Brexit thread! Bring back the GPO
What do you mean GPO, my phones still plugged into the wall socket;)

I don't have the need for a mobile pc/phone photo thingy thanks!

I'm not the only one either..
