i had a intermittent throttle response on my 2007 QP , about 1000-1200 rpm, and then the car would take off
So i bought a new throttle housing from bosch not a reman, and with a 3 year warranty, £300 delivered, i though that was a steal,

such a different pedal response ,so much smoother at low revs in traffic etc,

Nice work Martin. I always felt it was a little snatchy/jerky initally at low speed/traffic but had only driven another QP for a short uninterrupted ride so didn't have much compare. Therefore thought it was all QP's & they way they were.

Would a clean of the sensor done the same or do they wear & replacement is required? Or did you just think for 300 it was worth changing anyway at 60k?

I changed one in an E39 540i 2000/X I had a while back but the symptoms were much more problematic. Tried a cheap Chinese clone MAF & that was rubbish so sent back for refund. Like you I got a non-OEM but Bosch identical part code & was great. Was only 150 at the time from memory but solved all issues.

Good to see you have made some good small improvements for not too much time/cash that I'm sure make a big difference all together.

I would do a battery reset too. At least in the BMW I had (also had a e39 540i - what a wonderful car, one of the few I would have back in a second) the 'learning' algorithm was a little strange and often felt very weird until reset.

tried the full clean, but no difference, and the old remove power and reconnect power trick, but the throttle body , wow that has made it respond like my old bmw 645 ,

also the paddle shifters i have installed make the car very quick when used in haste lol,

Would this car benefit from a contact-less pedal sensor? Its probably not a lot different from the one I make for the 3200? do you still have the faulty sensor? I could probably clone it from that?
