I recently insured with Locktons and I thought the overall package was excellent. The other one worth trying is Classicline.Yes its that time of year again, doing the usual comparison sites, has anybody got any other recommendations / know of any particularly good deals?
It very much depends on the car. But for the older ones (for which 4200 + GS might count), try Footman James. I have a deal with them for 12 of my classics, including the QP IV. I added a 2008 911 to that policy today, so the cars don’t need to be particularly old. But newer things like my E-TRon, Range Rover, Volvo, etc are with other companies.
interesting- cos they couldnt/wouldnt cover my windscreen. They suggested I try covering it with a bespoke policy. I havent found anyone who offers it...I'm with Cherished Vehicles - part of A plan I think - well under £300 for my 02 spyder with agreed value around £25k - SI have done an excellent, but costly over time, job bringing him up to standard so he's virtually like new. And they have been really quick sorting my cracked windscreen - so cannot grumble. The boss man has said they will sharpen up their pencil when it comes to insuring the S2000
That's interesting re the windscreen - mine's just cracked and needs a replacement - no longer manufactured and the usual suspects do not have one. Cherished Vehicles did a call round too - now, if I can source one, probably used, I buy it and present them with the invoice which they will refund (I pay the £90 excess). Currently my black side is thinking the car is a right off.interesting- cos they couldnt/wouldnt cover my windscreen. They suggested I try covering it with a bespoke policy. Im paying more than you too....
That is on the to-do list for today - many thanksMight be worth a call to these guys. They don’t list it, but will make discontinued glass.
Have you got an agreed value for the QP?Pretty good renewal quote from Admiral. Probably won't bother to shop around.
