That’s my plan . Concerned that previous owner got out just before a load of big jobs are due.

Not going to main dealer, but spoke to workshop manager at Colchester Ferrari/Maserati yesterday about something else (long story) and I mentioned suspension bushes. He said just get them checked, it isn’t just mileage, but age as well, and in reality they could be fine right now.

Will soon find out
Are you local to Lancaster/Colchester, Alex? If so Grimaldi in Halstead know their way around these cars very well. They tend to prefer restoration jobs on high-end Ferraris (last I dealt with them that was the general trajectory in any case) but the quality of work was certainly very good.

I can vouch 100% for Roberto at Grimaldi Engineering Halstead , does excellent work and does indeed have a Masser himself, very knowledgeable guy and superb engine builder of anything italian , and with Europsares just 50 metres away across the road , minimal parts delay

So, I had my visit to Sam at Stradale in Uttoxeter. I understand his choice of location, close to the Bamford billionaires and their car collection. There was an old/new Ferrari replica thingy in there with a Bamford badge on the front waiting for a lot of work to be done. Should have taken pics, it looked amazing!

So, my issues and conclusion on outcome.

1. Knackered ish wheel. Sam advised it shouldn’t be repaired. Deal done with seller to provide a brand new one. Good.
2. Slight squeak from steering wheel. Easy, WD40 squirt by Sam where steering column exits near the brake pedal, slight pull back of carpet required. Cured completely. Good.
3. Handbrake. Pads still half life and in one piece. Sam wound them up a bit tighter, works a bit better, still doesn’t really hold the car completely though and takes a while to come on and go off. Mixed feelings on this.
4. Giving the car a once over and listen to slight creaking from rear end. No time to do any of that. Conclusion. Bad, still not sure what it is :(

And he was seriously helpful with our windscreen replacement last year
