ICE warning light on 4200?

Hi
Was wondering if anyone could advise me please, I've just took her out of storage unit today, been on trickle the whole time and mostly things seem fine, thought I'd run her about for a few days while the Suns shining before the next round of major suspension work - both rear shocks and another front wishbone :(

However, the 'ice' light is on my dash and the usual reset options won't shift her, it seems like this warning is possibly limiting my revs , tho I only drove her a couple of miles in fairly residential area so can't be sure but I think even in 'manual mode' she switched up the gears for me a couple of times as I approached 3k revs.

Am I stuck with this until I can get someone to plug a diagnostic tool in and somehow turn the warning off?

Is this a common issue?

Thanks for your time,

Si

It has been cold first think in the morning but after 08:00 its well above 4° so it should be off.

Never known it limit the revs before???

That would be the Ice *mode* indicator light.

I'm assuming you *have* pressed the button on the tunnel to try and turn it off?

Hi

It's a 4200cc

Button on the tunnel? Does it say ice on it as I looked about just in case something had accidentally been pressed when she was last worked on but couldn't find anything?

Thanks
Si

There are 2 big black buttons rising out of the centre consol at an upright angle covered by little housings. One has 'Auto' and the other has 'Ice'. Pressing either will bring up an orange warning light in the instrument binnacle. Pressing them again will put the lights out.

If not ice, a pair of squiggly lines. It's the same as the Auto button, but the other one :)

Steering wheel on the wrong side :)

But once again SM saves a shed load of cash!

Do you have a manual, Si? Not a pointed question, I have a PDF I can email if you PM me an email address

In all honesty I can't find the **** manual, the folder in the car with various books had nothing relevant in it, I did look right through it as soon as this issue cropped up .

I'm sure it came with one though so I'll try hunt it out now before I head off to work ,
Thanks

Was only joking Si, we say it all the time at work when people ask questions to which they should know, it's just banter.

Glad you sorted it out!

No worries Phil, I've found it in the house now :)

I removed a lot of the paperwork etc a while back thanks to the (now fixed) leaking boot lid issue, stuff was getting slightly damp in there until I got it properly sorted and dried, full of fun little quirks these cars ain't they !

Thanks
Si
