Very good news:
I have finally taken the plunge and am now a fully badged member of the Trident family.
After exhaustive searches and protracted negotiations, I have bought a Gran Turismo S MC Shift.
It is Oct 2008 - done almost nothing - 2030 miles.
One former owner - a very interesting owner indeed - hint: a motor classic lover
It is nero with nero.
Having looked at many cars, I decided on this one because its less than 18 mths old, has done virtually no miles, is practically a new car, one owner and because of the colour combinations and number of options it has. Eg, I really wanted the black piano wood trim with the nero - which is 1528 if purchased new. The Bose upgrade is another 1175 and the Alcantra headlining is 940 etc etc - it has all these
It has nearly every option I wanted.
The only reservation I had about the GTS was the weight - but having driven it and heard it - it is fantastic. The sound in sport is just unbelievable. It is a symphony.
I have toyed with the idea of a Lambo, with a 430 - and even an Aston. But in the end I wanted something special - exclusivity - yes there are masas about, but they are still comparitively rare. More importantly, they are a supercar which carry themselves a certain way. They exude class even when they look like beasts - which this one does.

These cars are not cheap and the dealers do not reduce that much because they know the good examples will sell. I secured a reduction but not as much as I would have liked in a perfect world.
I am, however, reasonably happy with the deal. Although I would have liked it closer to my target price, I managed to get a number of little additional bits and pieces included.
I pick up tomorrow.
As noted, with my new addition comes a new name!
gs 07 was appropriate when the target was a gransport.
I am now GTS 08.
For all those who patiently answered my queries etc in this long lead up - thank you.
It was much appreciated - I know a lot more than I did when I started here (well, somewhere else)
.
I had a few near deals with other cars which didnt quite come off in the end after a lot of work - as they say, maybe that occurred for a reason because this is the best one I have seen.
It is not every day you buy a car like this - and I am going to enjoy it.
