I keep going back in time!

I've got a one month old QP GTS but I keep having a problem with the clock.
Every so often, when I start the car, I hear a series of quick clicks (as if the battery is too weak to start) and my clock goes back to 00:00 on 1st January 2000. The car went back to the dealer three weeks ago, where they coouldn't find a fault but tightened up all the leads from the battery to the starter this worked until yesterday when it all started happening again, twice yesterday.
Anyone had a similar problem and know what the fix is?
It's nice to lose 12 years in a flash, but it's depressing having to add it back on again.

Curious one that one.....even if battery effectively dead should power your clock.....could ths starter motor be a bit iffy, not sure how that then would affect your clock though?

Mine did that once, a couple of years ago, when the battery was weak...
I bought a ctek trickle charger that I use every now and again, to keep it topped up,
and have not had the problem re-cur.

It's as if you disconnected the battery and all your personal settings go back to default. Starter motor checked out as ok.

One other thing to get checked out, all the earthing points.

It's back at the dealer on Monday, but they've checked the battery and all the earthing points. Yesterday it happened when I deactivated the alarm twice before getting in. BUt I've tried since and everything stays ok
