so took the dash out today with the help of some utube vids to get to the trim parts sport button and bottom surround, unplugged all the radio, screen etc, plugged it all back in again and the car is going haywire!

ticking etc dials flickering, when you turn the key the full wipers come on and the washer jets squirt fully aswell! what have I done!

car wont start now either! just turns over! assuming ive buggered something or fused something somewhere! anyone in Cheshire someone can recommend! to recover it and fix!

Turn battery off for a couple of hours, turn back on and restart.

If that doesn't fix it you have a multi plug fitted incorrectly or not pushed fully home.

so I'm right in saying it wont work without that large multiplug plugged in? ive lef tit unplugged for tonight, I closed the boot stupidly also so need to where the manual boot release is aswell.

I tried it with none of the switches and cables plugged in and it just did the same!

Yikes! Sounds daunting but I cannot recommend Marios at Autoshield in Manchester highly enough. John at GT Cars in Warrington / Lymm is bloody handy with electrical stuff.

Probably not the best idea to try powering it without everything connected, frankly.

Manual boot release is under the seat cushion of the rear passenger seat. Feel for a loop of cable and pull.

How can you afford all those cars and do something like that :0
I would definitely just get to auto shield ASAP. If Marios can't do it he will know someone who will.
I am a natural risk taker but with a car like this I wouldn't touch anything remotely technical.
When you change the wheel pay for it to be done at an indie!

ha I'm a techie by nature I own a telecoms company and thought it wouldn't be too hard! if pushing the plug fully in works! great! but if it doesn't I'm stuck! I thought I had plugged it in!

hi marios, I don't think so, I didn't see any to disturb! but you never know! it literally sounds like its arking if that's makes an sense eg it will come on and off screen on dash with flash, wipers come on, washer jets go on aswell! if your free to come down to me marios will happily pay for it to be sorted!! I'm in sandymoor/Warrington just off the m56! I'm an idiot I know!

i have removed my middle silencer on mine, so same as the x pipe mod people do, basically it sounds exactly the same, but approx 20-25% louder

this is some dash cam footage, its just normal footage, i wasn't recording it for the exhaust noise, you can see in my other videos a cold start video (video doesn't show but cold start with x pipe is loud!) and there is a video just standard revving but you know what that sounds like ;)

sounds like you may have trapped a wire some where? or disconnected an earth that is required! have you checked the fuses too, these can do odd things.

Agree with you. Hard to believe.
I was in same position - mine sounded amazing but I was convinced by the experience of the forum members to do it.
It's not expensive and marios did mine. I trust him to only do things he thinks will improve the car. It sounds even better now- more pops and crackles. Borderline embarrassing but we love it really.
