Not sure if this is appropriate here.

To be honest fellas, it wasn’t my first choice…I’d have gone for something in red…… but I’m sure we’ve all been in a situation where we have to try to justify something to the other half and after much research, discussion etc a deal was done.

Hence the universally popular purchase of a metallic black, MacLaren.

We’ve had it for a month now so I feel able to comment on its extraordinary capabilities. The acceleration is nothing short of amazing, fly like in terms of the change of direction into gaps, comfortable, surprisingly practical, easy to park and the roof up/ down is a real bonus in this weather. The Missus loves driving it and so far, touch wood, reliability has been excellent.

Will try to post a/some pics later....... even my 5 month old daughter approves.

If you can, I would recommend it.

Cheers Wattie

Wattie, glad you told us.....They are an amazing car and would be on my list. YOu can use them daily and will out drag almost everything on the road....I drove a 12c Spyder which blew me away. I also think the interior is better than the 458 as I love the minimalistic approach. Look froward to seeing the pictures..

It does read last me you have bought a stroller buggy for you little one, are you pulling our legs?????

If not, a massive well done, these cars, like Maseratis are a bit left field.

Giggling already, Wattie... if it's a car then good on yer, if it's a buggy then I'll just keep on giggling. Either way - great post!

We have a Maclaren too, note the spelling, it the special model more room for larger occupants but has been great in every day usage. It doesn't get used as much as it did we are trying to ween ourselves off it even though getting around without it is somewhat slower.

I preferred the handling of the Quinny Zapp. Very responsive.
It had a lovely alloy chassis too!

We had a Quinny Zapp, best thing about is was that it would fold down to fit in aircraft overhead locker. ours was lime green you could always see us coming :)

I bought one too.... but unfortunately I had to sell it before it even arrived because I was poor. Made a modest profit on the deposit though.

Presumably by the way the OP has written this 'hilarious' set up, he has bought a pram. Mine was a car, though at the moment even the pram would be a stretch.

Although strangely prams (or at least their contents) do also seem to attract women. Probably more so than cars!

Never met a woman who thought any of the cars I have had were anything other than ridiculous or absolutely unremarkable depending on my vastly fluctuating fortune at the time (fortune meaning luck not wealth). Coincidentally depending on my mood I too am either ridiculous or completely unremarkable!
