Hi All
I'm contemplating a change of car this winter, but before I do, I was hoping to seek some advice on the best way to do so. What price could I expect to get privately, and what site/publication would give me the best chance to get the best price?
For those of you that don't know me or my car, it is a 2010 GTS (MS-Shift), in white, with MC Sportline options, MC Sportline Handling Pack and has covered 35k miles - plus it's loud.....nearly MAFF loud!
Any thoughts or guidance on the sale will be appreciated!!
Cheers

Hi Adam, I think Pistonheads is a good option for online selling or you might consider someone such as Nuvola / Richard Grace selling it on your behalf although they may be interested in buying from you outright if you don't want to deal with the selling process yourself.

Remember to keep me in mind as mentioned though if you are looking to return the car to standard before you sell it!

Good luck with the sale and it will be a tough car to replace.

I've never found it easy to sell expensive or exotic cars privately - so going via a friendly dealer is my recommendation. Richard Grace perhaps, or I sold my last one (sale or return) via Nuvola and that went very smoothly and quickly. I got as much that way as I think I'd have got privately too. That was a 4200 by the way.

For info, I recently approached Richard Grace to sell mine. It was done on a flat-rate commission basis - and if I changed my mind after a few weeks I could go and collect it with no expense. All more than fair. And a decent and straightforward guy to deal with.

Needless to say he sold it within a few weeks! The reason I did it that way rather than trying to sell directly via Pistonheads or wherever was really because i) a bit of hassle, which I could've put up with; but really ii) dealer financing and / or P/Ex facilities - and it was the P/Ex capability as I understand it which helped.

I did sell my previous 4.2 privately via Autotrader and v. quickly (albeit I priced it fairly low to move it quickly).

Hi Stu - I was planning to return it to stock, so send me a pm with an offer and we can take it from there.

Thanks for the mention Rod, when it's such a stunning car it helps! I also work from home as most of you know so can't do an 'SK' on you. I find when the cars go over the £40000 mark, there's is usually a Px or finance involved.
