How much paint to paint a car ?

Agreed the total quote is £14k !!

And i was going to strip the car (bar the glass)...

Doesn’t sound that expensive to me, assuming they are removing the glass, afterall I expect you will expect it to be flawless.

To be honest, given the scarcity of the paint, size of the car, the type of the paint... it doesn't sound too terrible, frankly.


And there’s the old adage - a cheap paint job will end up being an expensive one when you have to get it redone.

I have another quote of £10k using the same Body Shop that Harry's Garage uses, with the caveat that it could be more or could be less......

Still seems expensive but the work will be of good quality and i have been struggling to find people that wanted to do it. I will still strip it as i can then replace all the rusty fasteners with SS ones.
