i did for about 9 months but with my commute being 80 miles per day the fuel bills soon started to get tiresome and day in day out sat in traffic made the car feel less special and made it's flaws less characterful and more annoying. Now i use it a couple of times a week, haven't driven it for about 10 days so looking forward to using it all weekend

The Maserati dealership in Belfast shares a showroom with Ferrari . The guy who was dealing with me today told me about this owner of a 4 year old Ferrari with only 78 miles on it ! Yes 78.
Apparently the owner refers to it as Garage Art !
Like wtf !!

I get that, sometimes I think of the 4200 as similar.

Very cool.... until I realised you meant off-roading ;)

Ahhh so you did read into my hidden meaning in my post!

The good news is that the insurance company is paying for everything and it should be fixed soon!!

Then need to book some track days ASAP.

Most times weekend use only.

The occasional Friday but very rare.

That Saturday morning anticipation to bring her out is just bliss.

Makes you appreciate the car even more.

Once per month. but it'll be a long drive, like 300-500 kms.
Some other small 40 km runs every two weeks to let the oil flow inside.

Use it as an everyday and they thank you for it. The bonus too is that you are more in tune with it and more likely to rectify any issues or niggles much quicker.

Definitely most days, about 400 miles a week at the moment although that won't last forever as it is dependent on my business.

Have used it for work much of last summer/autumn backed off since the arrival of the Alfa in January but as I've done 38,000 miles in the 5 years I've owned it I'd consider it an almost daily drive...

Couldn't agree more with that statement. Every time I use mine for a tour/ several days consistent driving, it always seems to be better at the end of it. I always avoid short journeys in mine too. If it gets fired up, we're going for a proper drive to get everything fully up to temperature. It rarely does journeys of less than 20-30 miles and more usually in the 50-100 region. I just find an excuse to go the extra mile :)

I use mine every day - about 10 miles per trip, 20 miles per day, plus weekend extras, plus a spirited blast once or twice per week.
The car has given me no problems at all, and nor did my 4200 under this regime.

It use to be my daily driver but now the workload gets split across a few of the toys. Not used it much this summer due to it waiting for its clutch replacement, I pick it up tomorrow so hoping for a few weeks of nice weather before the dark miserable stuff arrives so I can use if more

I used my 4200 as a daily throughout, and the GS regularly, but I'm giving it a year or two off. I have the other two to play with for a while. I'll use the time to get it concourse again and maybe just the odd event in between, but nothing more. I lost the tingle, so in a year or two I'll look forward to its return.

And in the meantime you can watch the value of the car increase. Not a bad compromise!

I don't need to drive everyday but its used 3 or 4 times a week. I can use the wifes if i need a load lugger or something more economical or all 5 of us in a car at the same time. If i start doing more miles again then i will probably look for a run around but no need at the moment. I imagine winter and snow might be a bit trying in the 4200.

I give the old 3200GT a really good thrashing, and I mean a really good thrashing.. around Europe in the summer months, then Its back into storage.

I'm trying to keep the miles super low, just over 25k at the moment

It costs a fair bit in servicing and repairs that it dosen't really need though..£1500 last month just to keep the service records in order!

Next year It's 15 years old...I'ts still a fantasticly rare old school hooligan Maserati 3200GT
I just love it..

The dealership reckons mine might be the only 3200 in N.Ireland.
Even looking at the newer models in the show room today I still prefer the look of mine .
Just has class written all over it
