I got banned for 2 years for 115 mph in a 30mph zone when I was 16. Apparently the rozzer had been following me for over 8 miles. You would have thought he would have said something earlier.......I claimed 'entrapment'....didn't wash I'm afraid

Was with my dad when he got his latest ban. Pulled over on the M6 in Cumbria, officer told him he had to do over 135mph to catch him up...my dad retorted, don't you think that was a bit bloody dangerous?
Subtle is he not...12 months ban and he deserved it.

My XFR managed 165 and I slowed down while it was still happy to go faster, despite being supposedly limited to 155. The GTS made 150mph at Brunti but others managed more - clearly my exit speed from the chicane was too low. TomTom and Maser speed readout are pretty much bang on - a difference of around 2mph at around 70 (never faster on a public road, no way at all).

Pete - your dad sounds proper old school. An old friend's father was pulled over many years ago on a Saturday night, all the family in the car. "Have you been drinking, sir?". "Of course I've been bloody drinking. I've been out to dinner." Scott free. Something big in the Masons, apparently.

saw a video on You Tube ZZR1400 in Germany (I assume) flat out 300km/h engine on rev limiter and an Audi RS6 went past like he was stood still!
