How far would you go to buy a Maserati?

In the past i've purchased cars from local dealerships and the maximum distance i've travelled to buy a car was 30 miles. How far would you go, or have gone, to buy a Maserati?

When doing used car searches I very rarely put in a distance of over 30 miles but I feel I could be missing out on some very nice cars by doing this. But, at the end of the day, there is the inconvenience of travelling a long way to view a car and finding out that it's not what you want.

Most certainly you are missing out Evoke , the rarity of the marque makes it unlikely that you would have reasonable choice local to you unless you live in central London that is , they are not like porkers i often travel up to 250 miles to buy cars , from the south coast i travelled to scotland a few times for certain bargains so its how hard or bad you want something , i would have said that 100 miles would be reasonable mileage for you to find suitable choice which hopefully will include several dealers, but the right car is always worth waiting for ask Maf260 he's been searching for the right GS for sometime now

I travelled over 100 miles to a dealer and 100 miles back....200 miles round trip just to be told to clear out of their garage because I would not make a decision there and then to buy their car :1398: Unfortunately, I cannot name and shame that dealer here. They did eventually apologise for their behaviour, but suffice as to say I was very ****** off and as a result they are not one of our invited recommendations here on the forum.

For the right car, anywhere in the UK. I live on the South coast and bought my 3200 from Newcastle, ended up flying up to get it.

If its the right car (this one was not as it happens) its worth the agro.

Birmingham, from Glasgow, travelled down twice, once to inspect and once to collect, post service/inspection.

Parisien will be in shortly to trump us all no doubt.............................

When I was looking at 3200's, as well as various examples in the Midlands, I went to London twice (once for an Assetto Corsa) and down to the south coast to look at a mint 3200 that was sadly over-priced.

Decided to pop up the road to Graypaul Nottingham to check out 3200 servicing costs, known issues, etc and ended up 'walking out' with my 4200!

I visited and test drove cars between the south coast and Edinburgh, eventually settling on one from Kent

If it's the car you really do want, then anywhere in the UK (or country of residence).
Get plenty of information before you embark on too much travelling.
Absolutely worth the effort though.
