The only time they go off the road is when the wheel lifts while outcornering the 4200.....

My 3 year year old 3200GT Auto with 30k on the clock had a number of replacement parts in the 2 years I owned it. The bits I can remember are:
New crank and bearings
New gearbox
New air con compressor
New throttle body
New sub frame
New engine mounts
New ...........
All under warranty and about 5 months off the road in total !
I did basically give up on it in the end and after I sold it the differential went !
I can't remember the total cost but the crank and gearbox was about £10k god knows how much the engine mounts and sub frame really cost. It was why I went to a Ferrari, thought it can't cost any more, but I still came back to a Maserati and my Spyder has been ultra reliable.
The one question I was asked by a number of people at Stanford on Sunday was about reliability and running costs and I could tell them that my Spyder was no more to run than a new bmw or Audi. I couldn't really recommend a 3200 but I still remember the power delivery of those turbos, which was great fun.
Nick ....thats horrific......no wonder they lost money, had a deserved cra*p reputation and people off loaded them and now they are approaching being valueless!!!!!
