Well, so much for "Bring you Maserati to work day"!
Cleaned the car this morning and finished off fitting a couple of bits of trim.
Car has been sat for 3 weeks with a new battery but I have been in and out of the thing so expected it to be flat, but now, fired into life with vigour.
I removed my tracker some weeks ago too so that is probably the reason for it starting so well.
So, I dropped both windows to clear the mist off them, and the drivers one started rattling and the window would not come back up......bu99er!!!!
So I spent the rest of the mooring stripping the door card and removing the window regulator expecting to find stripped teeth, but no, the large toothed gear on the regulator had sheared clean off. The 3 spot weld failed.
OK, thats an easy fig, jumped in the car and sped off down the local fabricators who welded it up for a tenner....result.
Got back and fitted it only to find my auto drop function is not work. On closer inspection the microswitch got ripped apart in the collapsing mechanism.
I did have one but gave it away for FREE to a member to help him out in a similar situation.
I am hoping one of you kind gents might return me the same courtesy?
