It's also listed as a classified ad on eBay for £31,750.00.

I can think of much better alternatives.

I honestly deduced that figure from current market price, looks like I was pretty much bang on the money.

Where does it say a CAT C .......This colour combo for me is one of the best on a 4.2 GT ...... If not a CAT C it must be worth 32 -34k ...but if it is then finger in the air stuff as it all depends what happened to it.

If you look at the actual advert for the car for sale, it says it's clearly...CAT-C..!!

Trade on a non Cat C car of that age/mileage is about £29k so c£31k for a private sale so no idea how they think it is a bargain.

Love the colour combi mind.

Obviously trying to pull a fast one if they can, someone should make them an offer of £20K as it is a Cat-C and has been totally submerged in water and see what answer they get, it might throw some light on what happened to it..??

I believe you have fewer rights as a consumer if you buy through an auction site so probably why he hasn't mentioned the CAT C on the auction, but has on the classified ad.Its still buyer beware though, I could be wrong but I don't think they have to tell you its an insurance write off, that's why you get an HPi done.If the ad said 'never been damaged' and it had then you'd have a case to reject it, you often have to read what's not in the ad rather than what's is.I once heard of a garage that stated all its cars were HPi checked, it didn't mean they were HPi clear though.
