GTS niggles

Loving driving the new car - getting lots of people commenting that they can "hear me before they see me !" - the Sports button is really addictive - just a few niggles which wanted to get some thoughts on:

1 - when I open the passenger door, the window automatically drops a bit, but then doesn't go back up again when the door closes (which leaves the window slightly open) - i had a similar issue with the driver door which appears to have corrected itself but can't figure out how to correct this on the passenger door ?

2 - it might be because i have a rather heavy foot in my first few days of ownership - but i am only getting 14 mpg ! is that normal ?

3 - there is an annoying rattle coming from near the passenger side airbag/ front speaker area which i cannot isolate - probably really hard to locate and fix but wondered if anyone had any experience of it

strangely enough, these niggles almost add to the experience at the moment - it is a temperamental italian with some flaws, but that makes you love them more.....

1. make sure the window is all the way up, then try it again. If it still does not close then you have a fault.
2. these cars inhale fuel and if by far and away the most thirsty car I have ever had, so this is normal.
3. probably connected with 1. maybe the microswitch or its wiring has come off

Can you reset a GT like a 4200/Gsport?.......14 sounds like you're having too much fun.....

Hi B,
Yeah mine did this window thing, it seems to have correct it's self now. Not sure how stable the SW dev is on these so prepared to be entertained. They can have hissy fits at the most inappropriate moments.
Yep be prepared to become a regular at your local filling station unless you have a feather right foot or regularly do 200 steady driving m- way miles.
I'm going to Chatsworth in a few weeks so will be interesting to see how we do on a longer journey. My usual route is 50 rush hr M25 miles and that sucks the fuel through.

Dan,

On your first issue, I would check all around the rubber seal and check that nothing is in the way of the glass, however small. Failing that id take it into the dealer to diagnose.

14 MPG is normal when having fun! Awesome!

it WAS the most thirsty car I owned - not anymore!!!

14 is normal - dont worry its better on long runs with the sport button off (not that I ever turn mine off)

Went to Autofficina yesterday and they put the car on the SD3 diagnostic tool - amazing piece of kit that even shows how often the car had been in each gear during its entire life ! Clutch has 45% wear - which is what I thoughtbut was otherwise described as "very tight" which was great. They also fixed the little rattle on the front dash (which was the trim right by the front window knocking against the window - a small bit of felt has fixed that !) - I even got nearly 19 mpg out of it on the way there - happy days !!
