GT-S Power Steering Issue

Hi all, curious to know if anyone has had a 'Power Steering fluid low - go to dealer' message appear on a GT-S? The car has just had a repaint of all 4 brake callipers due to heavily faded colour. The bodyshop bled the brakes, could this have caused power steering fluid loss also? Regards

It's a black tank with a twist lid. You may have to remove the engine guards to find it.

It will also have a logo the same as the image on your dash of a steering wheel on the cap.

Silly question from me but how do you get the DIS display like that which looks like a rev counter above the 3 in the top pic. My GTS doesn't have that same display

Press the Mode button to the right of the steering wheel and cycle through until the option to show the RPM counter appears.

Do other people agree the RPM image is a bit lame though? You really have to push it to get it to do anything of interest. I think they could have got more out of it.

Les than 12,000 miles and the powers steering fluid level low - there must be something wrong
- fluid leak
- dodgy sender

It's nice to see but I don't look at it when I'm driving in a 'spirited' manner. That's what the main rev counter is for.

I prefer the RPM display to the other options - it does look good when you're giving it some beans

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the speedo and rev counters are the wrong way round in a mazza? Is that a mazza/continental thing? Admittedly I've not driven many cars but they all have the rev counter on the left and the speedo on the right. Also what's the use of having the mph in slots of 20mph (20,40,60,80) when the useful values are 30, 50 and 70? So I always look at the tiny digital read out. If only there was an option increase the size!

In my wildest musing I wonder what would take to swap the speedo and rev counter over and change the speedo markings......

First world problems...

Cheers set that mode! :D

So I set it and when the car is ignition on I see the rev counter display, as soon as I engage gear it disappears. I tried the mode button to flick through and that just gives me trip computer A, B then rev counter ON/OFF toggle. What am I missing other than RTFM?! :D

I believe there is an option in one of the main menus to show what is repeated on the centre display. Will have a look when I next get in the car this morning. I know when I have my radio on it cancels out the rev display and shows what station I'm on.

Issue sorted. The wheels were not aligned properly when the car went on the ramp. The message was actually 'Power steering fault - go to dealer' thanks for your help. Regards
