Looks like a good car, about right for the miles, nice to get a main dealer car at that price.

Saw that too, and thought it looked good - nice combo. Well priced for Maranello too.

Maserati dealers usually give the same warranty as independents like Nuvola and myself, warrantywise or warrantyworks. It's the level of cover and claim limit which is also important. I very much doubt that it'll have a full Maserati extended warranty as if a single day passed after the original warranty elapsed, they're not allowed to renew it. They then have access to the same warranties that we do.

Right, didn't know that....Thought they had a special warrenty like the Ferrari network....Saying that I would imagine it's only up to a certain age of the vehicle.

Not great, wondering is it the same the world over, saw plenty of 4200/GSs for sale in Italy, France at MDs...whereas rarely one at UK dealerships

Bought my Spyder from them last year and came with a Platinum Warrantywise policy.

Maranello is a strange garage. They used to be very expensive but now have the odd car that is very attractively priced.

Agree with you Bigbob, ive found with Marranello's over the last 2 years that attitudes there seem to have changed for the better , whereas they used to be only interested in people with a wallet in every pocket they now find the time to speak to the ordinary man with just the one wallet , sign of the times great people to deal with and servicing wise deals to be had and negotiated

I used to live a handful of miles from Egham and it says something that I found Meridien cheaper and easier to deal with than Maranello when I bought my 3200. Glad to see that things have changed.

Lovely looking car, and nice price. When car salesman aren't selling much, they are friendly to everyone!

There are so few good GranSports out there for sale that I am surprised it is priced so competitively. (Only 8 on pistonheads classified, versus 110 GranTurismo's.)

Good luck! I'm not in buying mode at the moment. Anyway, I took the view that Maserati residuals were so strong that I bought (discounted) new this time. Over five years I reckon it will not cost me much more than having bought a two year old car. Time will tell though.................

I was looking at a black GranSport at the Alfa Romeo Scottish Owners Club meet last month (on here in events) and was reminded that there is no GranTurismo model that replaces it. There is clearly room for a new GranSport as the GranTurismo is just too big for that sort of work.

I have been driving mine in sport manual a lot recently and it has the power and the corning ability to really impress but it is so wide that you have to be so careful as so many people stray over the white line now that the margin you have to leave makes you have to really back off.

The GranSport does have a future and Maserati are right to make it a two seater to keep the size down but please don't make it too wide. Personally I don't like mid engined cars on the road (had a Porsche and a Lotus) but the market is going that way.

These are all the reasons why I am currently - and reluctantly - skipping a generation. If I had a bigger garage and lived in a country with wider roads, it would be a different story!
