Could be the case, yes! And I’m fully expecting it as the next expense, so no need to be gentle with me

In fact I’m surprised it’s lasted this long since I purchased the car 4+ years ago.

They’re all extremely clunky, all single clutch vehicles of this age are noisy. R8 with r tronic would do the same, but I couldn’t hear anything unusual in the clip.

Things is it wasn’t this noticeable before - only recently it came to my attention - and I’m hyper sensitive to any changes in my car ($$$ in my eyes!)

My opinion would be ensure you have breakdown cover and drive it till it goes

To be clear: do you only notice when slowly manouevring back and forwards? How about on the open road? Cornering? I'd say it's standard F1 box chunter, maybe with a worn or badly set up clutch.

I've not heard of a bad diff or box yet from a GT as they are/were quite over-engineered

I’ve listened to it and I know the sound you are concerned about, it is normal and yes I understand why you might have been concerned.
