Hmm. I've never understood this approach. It often seems to smack of someone chancing their arm on an inflated price depending upon who asks. I'm sure everyone can come to a conclusion on the rough value of one of their cars, regardless of how unique.

I agree with this on the vast majority of cars, but this is the only one in the world, and I’m sure there’s a number of variables that would influence what he’d sell it for.

Not a bad idea that, I'm sure they are looking for content and if not sold whilst SORN, they would love to have a go and do a film of it. Also mention at the end that 'you too, could own this unique car, as the owner has it up for sale, serious applicants only!'

No but I know two friends who have and they never got anywhere near what they wanted so many don’t sell. Don’t like auctions for cars as there is too much risk. Now it seems everyone is also getting on the band wagon. Have you seen the Pistonheads ones. Feels like these hardly get off the ground and if they do the bids are really low. Give me a dealer like Dicky Grace any day of the week over these auctions.

I am not so certain playing to a mass audience will help this sale. It’s an amazing car and an amazing achievement it get it road legal, but it’s pretty darned niche and the market for it will be quite small.
The right buyer will be prepared to dig deep though.

How would you know that for any of them ? You will always run the risk that they wouldn’t. Although if they didn’t then none of them have petrol running through their veins.
