I could do with some advice from you guys whilst you are chatting about Ipod's etc.
I have a 2008 Granturismo. In the centre console there is a connector for an Ipod. The instruction manual tells me that it is connected to an auxillary unit with connections for the music media centre. It tells me to tune in an FM frequency (107.7 in this instance) to match the dip switch settings on the aux panel.
I have done this and allocated a set radio button to select 107.7. Press this button on the radio panel and the Ipod plays. Sounds fine so far....... BUT....
The acoustics are affected by interference and aerial positioning issues as if one is experiencing poor radio reception occasionally.
How can this be? My old car (M3) had a cable from the Ipod straight into the main music system (aux in) and played interference free???
Surely the Ipod on the GT is connected directly to the music media cnetre via a cable here also?
I have a 64Gb Sandisk Flashdrive and simply load whatever I fancy onto that and plug it into the USB slot in the glovebox, works brilliantly as I mostly listen to audiobooks when travelling any distance.
If only my car would do the same Rags. As soon as I connect an Apple product it crashes the media system in the car. Been to dealer and had updates etc but no improvement
