Anyone know if the 19" wheels from a Gransport will fit the earlier (2003) coupe which runs 18"?

They do fit indeed, yes...if you can find a set.

Rockits has one for sale at the moment.

Cool beans, I've been offered a set by a friend so may just have to treat Red Shed.

Personally, I'd save your money. They don't help the ride, they are very fragile and if you break one, you may struggle to find another. Also, the wheel centres stick out further than the rims which, IMO, looks pretty cr4p.

Must be needing my medication because I agree with Benny. They do seem more fragile than the 32/42 wheel options and hens teeth rare so replacements would be pretty difficult.

My view too...never had a wheel issue with the two 4200's but the GS is so susceptible.

Only the fronts mate and they're hardly a hideous carbuncle.

True, but they don't look that great when viewed from the front/ rear three quarters. Also, when kerbed they are in danger of scuffing up the 'spokes'.

Definitely danger of scuffing although I haven't yet in 4 years of ownership touch wood

Yup they definitely fit & run fine as I have them on my 4200/GS hybrid which is a MY04 2003/53 Coupe.

Just dropping it into an independent dealer to go in the showroom for sale tomorrow.

Took it for a spin this afternoon & it drives really well now. Should do after all the time & money it has had lavished on it the last few months. Now it gets to spend winter in a nice car sales showroom.

If you are going to do it then I think you should lower the car to Gransport height (height is adjustable no need to change springs). Otherwise it might look a bit odd with 19s and those stretched tyres but a 4" gap to the underside of the wheel arch. I prefer the standard multispoke 18" alloys on mine, apparently they are made by BBS, these have their own problems mostly with the quality of the original paint finish deteriorating inside and out... Although it seems to be fairly standard with cars from this era

Thanks guys, the car does look good but the italian character is catching up to me right now. It is currently under the cover, on axle stands and connected to the ctek, waiting for better days so that I can repair and the niggles. I believe it will be fully operational and once again for sale come next summer.
