Just in case we all thought this story has ended happily... it will when the Gransport is back with me on Monday!
It went something like this - the 599 had an intermittent airbag warning light issue. But I discovered (Ferrari owners web site actually useful) that the issue had been unsolved after five dealer visits in the preceding ten months. Car spent three weeks with local dealer to try and fix this issue - but on return the airbag light immediately reappeared - oh and I since further discovered that the nero-daytona paint covering most of the car had not been used on the right lower sill panel (close - but not Ferrari paint). The repair is on the same side as the airbag warning. And yes this was sold as Ferrari Approved - no inspection required sir, car is little used and original.
So whole deal reversed and Gransport coming back. I am, as you may imagine, just a little bit annoyed at the way this went and am interested in any thoughts on an appropriate further response to the dealers involved (three altogether) and to the manufacturer?
