Lovely choice of car well done that man - I would drive down and back did you part ex the GS ?

Get them to ship it to you, that way any risk is theirs and you dont have to worry about any damage that may occur (god forbid) on the drive down.

Also less separation anxiety and the new car should be spanking clean when it is delivered as long as you insist on a covered trailer.

If anyone is interested in the GS it might be worth approaching Meridien now - but they suggested that at 32K miles it would probably be sold through the trade!

I'm quite interested to know how many fuel stops it took to get the 599 back home. But however many it took I'd guess that walking back to it across the forecourt and then settling back into that interior was worth any number of stops!

Like others I look forward to the continued updates of life with a 599. For now I shall live the ownership experience vicariously.

Well in fact only one fuel stop needed - you can definitely get 300 miles+ range from a tank... but then the tank has been sized accordingly (think it is 23 gallons/105 l).
