Never heard that one Athol, I have used Pirelli for years and never had a blowout. If the softer wall get's a bang, or cut, it's just like any other tyre in that situation..!!

I worded things badly in my last post (I understood it!). The ride height I measured at 67.5cm was to the centre of the wheel arch. I have searched here to try to see if that is standard, but not found anything - only how much people lower it by. Can anyone tell me? Someone also asked about the tyres. They are Avon ZZ5.

I had Avon ZZ5's on my 3200 and found them too hard a ride. I've just changed to Michelin Pilot Sports 3 and they are much much better ride.

Thanks Neil. Unfortunately, these are quite new. I'll have to try to wear them out quickly! On my Boxster, I was amazed how a change from the OEM Continentals to Michelin Pilot Sports transformed the ride. I stayed with them for the rest of the 11 years I had the car.
