Hi all,
I've decided to try to tidy up a few issues with the GS and I would appreciate some advice on them please:
1 - Parking sensors seem to have been replaced with non standard before I bought it, they are rubbish at the best of times so could you confirm they are non standard and what the best option would be for me to get new ones? I.e. Buy wiring, controller, parking sensors from eurospares and will they for with current fittings?
2 - exhaust tip chrome has rust bubbles deep into the chrome. I would ideally like bigger tail pipes that fill the gap and maybe a bit louder. What are my options? I already have the x pipe on there but am worried that a new larini valves back box is too much?
3 - the mesh has fallen off on one side, how do I re attach it, what do I use?

Thanks in advance
James

OEM parking sensors are prone to failure and are very expensive to replace, c £100 inc VAT per sensor. Alfa larts fit and look very similar. Maserati ones are round, but the inside sensor part has two flat edges rather than being completely round (like its been squeezed )

Cant help with the exhaust...I find loud ones rather puerile.

Rear mesh is just siliconed into the bumper...try using heat activated glue to stick it back but first remove all the excess glue/silicone.

That adhesive looks like an epoxy to me. Not so easy to remove on a mesh like that. Acetone (nail varnish remover) will soften it a bit - plus a heat gun should help. Try a small test patch first - I could be wrong.

Parking sensors are same as bmw e39, the actual module also looks the same and both are £15-25 on ebay.

Search used ones and you'll see the same type (with the two flats)
