Hi,

I have just had my first fun at removing the battery from the Gransport and there is a clear tube running from the under the bottom right of the compartment that is not connected to anything at the other end (open tube). Before I go and put the new battery in I just want to check what this is for? Help appreciated. Cheers Steve

This is the gas vent for the battery and should plug into the top of the battery.

When the battery charges, or in the event of overcharge, the gas pressure can vent away to stop the gas build up and the potential of the battery exploading.

Thanks for that - need to find an adapter now for the smaller battery hole .

The battery vent hole is usually a standard size so should not require any adaptor. This is so that if the battery is changed at the roadside it can be hooked up to the vent pipe without any problems. I'd be surprised if you need an adaptor.
